Catalog content comes from FakeStore API, a third-party demo service. Cached results may become stale. No live inventory, orders, or payment processing are connected.
- Live product and category data fetched from the FakeStore REST API
- Product search and category filters (categories populated dynamically from API)
- Dynamic product rendering with images and demonstration stock values derived from API rating counts; these are not live inventory
- Cart quantity controls with demonstration stock-limit validation
- Live subtotal, shipping, and total calculations
- Cart state persistence using localStorage
- API response cached in localStorage — cached products may be stale when the API is unavailable
